Local Priorities Road Safety Issues Message

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

πŸš” South Wales Police – Road Safety Message πŸš”

South Wales Police would like to remind all drivers of the importance of road safety. Every year, lives are lost or changed forever because of dangerous driving. By taking simple steps, we can all help keep our roads safer for everyone.

Our key reminders for vehicle safety:

βœ… Always ensure your vehicle is roadworthy – check tyres, brakes, lights, and fluids regularly.
βœ… Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
βœ… Stick to the speed limit and adjust your driving to road and weather conditions.
βœ… Always wear a seatbelt and make sure passengers do too.
βœ… Avoid distractions such as mobile phones – even a split-second lapse in attention can be fatal.
βœ… Give vulnerable road users such as cyclists and pedestrians plenty of space.

Together, we can reduce collisions, protect our communities, and make South Wales a safer place to travel.

Your safety, your responsibility.
